Gears of War 3: How to get the Infinite Ammo mutator fast.

If you get 100 of the Combat Engineer Ribbons you unlock the Mutator for Infinite Ammo. Using this mutator is not necessary but you may wish to use it to speed up your game play. It will also come in handy if you are going for the insane horde medal for Seriously 3.0.

Step 0:
Make sure you have previously played horde and unlocked the turret!

Step 1:
Get a partner, and call yourselves number 1 and 2 (1 being the person who wants the Combat Engineer ribbons).

Step 2:
Start a private game of Horde on Wave 1 with your partner on any map. (The smallest seems to be Thrashball)

Step 3:
Player 2, give all your money to Player 1 by pressing ‘LT’ then ‘B’ twice.

Step 4:
Player 1 buys the Command Post, and then buys the Turret.

Step 5:
Player 2 goes on the turret and starts shooting mentally.

Step 6:
WHILST Player 2 is shooting, Player 1 stand next to the Turret and tap ‘Y’ to reload the turret after about 4/5 of pressing ‘Y’, you should get the Combat Engineer ribbon pop up.

Step 7:
Restart the game of Horde and rinse and repeat 100x to get the mutator.
(The best way to restart is by using insane difficulty and letting the horde kill you so you can just restart the wave)

;) The smallest map is Checkout. The turret and Command post are like 2 steps away from eachother.

Yeah we realised this after we posted the video lol.

Thank you for the comment :)

It doesn’t say it but both people can earn the achievement at the same time by the person who gets the combat engineer ribbon first turning to the guy on the turret and giving back whatever money they have left then switching spots on the turret.

Yeah, we didn’t put this into the guide because we thought it would be too obvious. Most people prefer to do it in split screen where taking turns would not matter.

Thank you for your comment :)
